Lady Mocs 82, Wofford 61

This was one of those catch-up days. We stayed home, in sweats, all day. We weren't entirely slugs, though.

John got started on soaking the country ham. He's ecstatic over Margaret's "invention" of using a piece of hose to fill and drain the ham-cooker. It is SO much easier and less messy! I guess we'll be doing the actual cooking on Tuesday.

I got started on some soup and dried-bean cooking. The soup will be a creamy sweet potato/butternut squash soup. I got the recipe from Sian's blog for 8 December 2008. Thanks, Sian, it's really looking good - we'll be having it tomorrow. I also started some dried black beans cooking.

There's been a lot of publicity about the beauty of the current full moon. However, the moon in this spectacular photo from the Astronomy Picture of the Day is of October's gorgeous full moon rising behind Mount Hamilton, east of San Jose, CA.
