Friday from South Carolina

We went to the Y early this morning, and then headed to South Carolina. It was the usual 4+ hours, but wonderfully uneventful - even through Atlanta.

We're in the motel in Greenwood, SC, tonight. It's been fun being with the kids and grands. We are truly blessed - they are all so great.

We went with Alison and Joe to see the Star Fort at Ninety Six, SC. This was the site of one of the last battles of the Revolutionary War - a siege battle. It was one of the last won by the British, but weakened them so much that they withdrew from the southern "back country". Which, of course, led to the American victory at Yorktown.

Sue fixed a terrific supper - with all the stuff that Alison never gets in CA - turkey, macaroni and cheese, fresh(frozen) corn-off-the-cob, etc. All great. John has now crashed, and I'm getting caught up on the computer.

Tomorrow, we're going to go to a Mennonite auction with the group, have some of their BBQ for lunch, and leave for home shortly after that.

I stand corrected, Bob. Sorry about that. The only difference is that only "Mom" can do it "correctly". LOL
