Things have moved so fast. I don’t know when or how to pick up and start writing again. I want to document the past two weeks, but don’t know if I’ll publish it all or not.

Margaret and Alison have been here going through papers and getting things organized. We’ve looked at an apartment in a retirement complex. There aren’t many choices in the area where I want to be, but the one we found is a definite possibility. I’m still getting my head wrapped around that, though.

Our girls have been magnificent. The swimmers and neighbors have kept us fed. You great folks across the internet have held me. And everybody has surrounded me with love. I’m grateful and humbled.

Thanks.

Oh Mary, I've not been following your (or any) blog recently and so had missed this very sad news. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy to you and the family. It sounds like he didn't suffer in the end and though it must have been tough for you he is now at peace. I am so sorry. Sianxx

Mary, I am so sorry to hear of John's death. We were good friends at San Jacinto High School and we were in the same class at Rice. I will always remember him as young and vigorous. I am happy you and John had a happy life together.
I hope you are happy in your new home. You have a lot of changes going on all at once and I wish you the very best.
