Heat from all sides

No cooking tonight or tomorrow night. John’s helping teach rowing classes, and they run from 6-8 p.m. He doesn’t want to eat much beforehand, and I don’t want to wait that long to eat. So we both just scrounge around for stuff.

We don’t really feel like eating much, in any case. It was 97 today - another day of breaking a long-held high temperature record (of 96).

(This list was compiled by Douglas E. Schoen Associates in a poll commissioned by Newsweek.) I’ll copy it here, without comment.
