A cold job on a cold day

Guess I'm going to have to do some marathon cooking over the next few days. I've gotten most of the ingredients that I need, and John did the important preparation today. He defrosted the freezer. What a nasty job that is! But at least it gets stuff cleared out and neatened up. Plus I took some of the year-old stuff left in the freezer, and made some yummy chicken/vegetable soup.

And after this weekend, we should have our year's supply of chili, split pea soup, and meatloaf.
