Life's a Beach!

Life at the beach has been great this week. Sorry I haven't been writing. Temperatures in the 90s, but with the sea breeze, it's most comfortable. We've been having our usual enormous breakfast (thanks to Margaret!), and then folks head for their various morning activities. Some to the water, some to the grocery store, some to shop, and some to beach-sit (umbrellas, chairs, books, coolers, etc.). Naps come later. Then preparations for supper - cooking the shrimp, crabs, fish, etc., etc. It's a tough life, but somebody's got to do it.

The only cloud this year is Sarah's increasing allergy to shellfish. It's gotten to where she even has to avoid being in the room when we're having our usual peel-and-eat shrimp for dinner. And that's always been one of her favorite foods. Poor baby. She can eat fish, though, so we've been experimenting with lot of different kinds.

In any case, it's our usual group of family and friends. And we've already got our reservation made for next year.
