Really, truly dead!

We got the call this morning. It’ll cost $600+ to fix the laptop - and that sounded the death knell. And now I’m shopping and getting advice. There’s WAY too much information out there, but I’m sure we’ll finally find something that suits. And soon, I hope!

I know several folks in the US who speak highly of "Acer" laptops - good value for money.
