No wonder we all gain weight during the holidays

My pedicure (at Miller-Motte Technical College) was very nice - with a great foot massage. The students doing the work were very nice, immaculately clean, and well organized. I'll probably go back there.

I posted a friend's recipe for candy made in the crock pot. It surely was good, and sounds so easy. I don't have a crock pot, so I won't be making any, but we enjoyed helping her eat it. Here’s the recipe for you to try:

CROCK POT CANDY

1 jar dry roasted (lightly salted) peanuts (16 oz)
1 jar roasted peanuts (unsalted) (16 oz)
1 12 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Baker's German Chocolate Bar
1 1/2 lb Almond Bark
1 1/2 lb Vanilla Bark

Layer ingredients in order as written. Do not chop, just put in large Crock Pot on low. DO NOT STIR. Cook for three hours. Stir and dip into paper mini-muffin cups. Makes 100-125

They're talking about maybe an inch of snow on grassy areas around here on Sunday/Monday, with it getting much colder next week. Brrrrrrrrr

Kate and Jean are doing their cookie-baking session this weekend. Here’s a look at the Scotch Shortbread - displayed on fabric that Kate has woven. Now, I ask you - don’t you think they should send all the cookies and the fabric to us.
