Rain and music

Nasty weather all day today - cold, grey, and rainy. We’d have stayed in all evening, but had symphony tickets for tonight.

The symphony was a rousing one. This guest conductor was quite expressive and dramatic. But the music was good, with a program of Rimsky-Korsakov (Scheherezade), Hindemith, and Dvorak.

It seems like the rain has sort of stopped, but they were talking about “wintry mix” in the morning. We’ll see what the weather-guesser has to say during the late news - and then look for surprises in the morning. Not a problem, though - we don’t have anywhere we have to go.

On board, exiting an Erie Canal lock.
Mickle, the trip on the Erie Canal was great - a week long in September.
