Not as planned

I headed out this morning, dressed nicely, planning to be out all day.  I went to coffee with the swimmers, then was headed to bridge sessions for the rest of the morning and then games in the afternoon.  On my way to the Bridge Center in the morning, I got a text from my partner - she wasn't going to be able to make the teaching session.  Well, okay - I'll just go home for a couple of hours. Then, just as I was thinking about getting ready to go out to play, she texted again and cancelled for the afternoon.  I didn't want to go as a single, so...

And that was my day.
