Changes

Today was a day of change:

Elizabeth Edwards died today. What a battle this lady put up - against her cancer, and dealing with the various challenges she had in life. Being a practicing lawyer; losing a teenage son; being the spouse of a vice-presidential candidate and a presidential candidate; and having faithless crumb of a husband who can’t keep his pants zipped. What a strong lady she was. We should all have such grace.

My friend’s mother is very close to death tonight. My friend has taken such good care of her mother for a number of years, faithful and loving. It’s a sad night for them.
