The weather has definitely been the story today. Who ever heard of getting a FOOT of rain in a few hours. That’s what they got in Memphis today. Tornadoes in Arkansas and Tennessee. Interstates closed because of water on the roads. The Naval Base and residences in Millington, TN, had to be evacuated. So far, the storms haven’t gotten here - The front is sliding northeast just to our west - and that’s fine with me!
The painter came to finish up today, although at my insistence. He really wanted to put it off until it quit raining, but it's not supposed to be "dry" until Tuesday at the earliest - and I wasn't going to wait that long. He did come, and got the ceiling done, plus touching up some of the places we found last night. And again, he's going to come back when everybody else finishes to do the last touch-ups - where things might get nicked by the other workmen.
The counter-top guy came and measured. He commented on how great the cabinets are. That was certainly money well spent 21 years ago to have them made.
John worked hard all day - changing out the receptacles and light switches. We needed to match the color to the new paint. And I wanted to change the toggle switches to the flat plate switches. He got the bedrooms done, and will do the kitchen tomorrow.

This is a "right whale" - the reason for coming to New Brunswick.
