Thanks, Sian. John's feeling some better. I'll get there - plan to stay in the chair as much as I can today.
Glad John is feeling better. Also glad to hear you are resting! That's the best thing you can do. Get well soon! And I keep meaning to tell you I am avidly reading "The Gurnsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie society" and thoroughly enjoying it. I'll comment more when I have finished the book but thanks for the recommendation.
Sian, glad you're enjoying the book. A web site called seniorlearn.org is just finishing a discussion of Guernsey. It was during the month of February, so should be ending and archived soon, but you might be able to find it at this web site.

I had a look at the discussion of the Guernsey book a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Certainly from the history I know of Guernsey during the war the book appears very accurate. There were a couple of things I want to check with my sister, but I'm sure historically the author(s) have done well. I now have a list of friends who want to borrow the book. Thanks again for the recommendation!
