Today has been a beautiful day - not just because of
the weather (although it's gorgeous, too). All our wonderful daughters
were here, plus grandchildren Sarah and Matt and fiancé Claire, and friends
Vicki & Roger. We shared in helping plant a tulip poplar in the
Memorial Forest at the Sculpture Fields with some of John's ashes. I spread
some around the base of the tree, and Matt finished the filling in with dirt
and mulch. We were doing great until Kate started playing some Jimmy Buffett,
which brought on some tears. All in all, a perfect send off!

My name is Mary Z. John and I live in Tennessee. We've been retired since 1991, and have a passion for travel and photography. I paint, do needlepoint and knit, read, work word puzzles. John is a rower and loves to read and work word puzzles, too.
